Continuing with the women's sporting news: Claire Bannwarth just set the fastest known time on the Colorado trail (yet to be verified), beating the men's time by 4 hours and setting the first women's time (she did West to East, Collegiate East, self-supported, if you care) - 9 days 3 hours. Also, of course, Simone Biles came back and won the all-around title today. So fuck yeah, women's sports are where it's at right now.

That's all I can manage to write about these days. Oh, the weather, that's always a good thing to make note of, unendingly interesting. It rained today! It cooled down! It's been horribly hot and dry
and windy - fire weather, begetting multiple fires, and it's been that way since... time immemorial. I don't know, early July maybe? I don't know, it's just been super hot for super long. The end of humanity was nigh, the earth was baking. But today it cooled down and rained! So I started freaking out about the end of summer and how winter will be back any second. It's going to be cool and rainy for a few days, hopefully will help contain some fires, and then next weekend it will be hot again. Shit's bad, the earth is hot, but it's nice to have this respite.
