- Dear September 11th, I'm sorry that I didn't spend all Sunday commemorating your anniversary, and I'm sorry that I skipped over all the articles in the newspaper about you. I'm sorry that I didn't do anything special for you and I'm sorry that I don't call you "nine eleven". It's not that I don't remember you and it's not that I don't think you were important, but I don't want to gnash my teeth and rehash everything about you in order to make it look like I'm caring and/or patriotic. You understand, I'm sure. Thanks.
