- The passage of a day has made it clear that the offending sliver is still lying under my fingernail. It is very long, about a pica. Tried to get it out with a sharp thingy, tried to get it out with tweezers (which are way too big to be rifling around under a fingernail), but to no avail. Will have to wait for my body to expel it. There's NO WAY I'm drilling through my fingernail. It still hurts real bad. But I can type on it today. Making: coffee, snausage, eggs, toast.
