Addendums (addenda?) to the review of ATP that I just posted:

Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks played after Television. Obviously, since we left after only a few of Television's songs, we didn't see them. Sorry, I was tired.

Some of the people who left right after Eddie Vedder's set went out back to the stage door and met him. Too bad I didn't follow them. I even knew them, kind of.

At the end of the night, over at the other auditorium, there was a tribute to the Stooges, and Ed went over there and sang a song, but we were on the road by then.

I was going to post some exclusive kelsi.diaryland.com pictures of the show. Maybe I'll find a *real* photography shop here that has a *real* darkroom where they print *real* pictures, not just some stupid fuckwads pushing buttons on machines.

A lot of people don't like the new songs because they're mellow. These people make threats like "If Pearl Jam doesn't start rocking, I'm going to stop listening to them." While the threats these people are making are indeed terrifying and dangerous, I think they're unfounded, because these are songs that Eddie was performing solo with a fucking ukelele. I'm not convinced that they will even be on the next album, much less performed with a ukelele. But if the next album is like this, I'd be happy. Someone asked the question, "If they released an album with just ukelele music, would you buy it?" The question was supposed to be rhetorical, because the answer was supposed to obviously be "no". But my answer is "yes", because I like music, not just loud fast rock and roll, and I like this ukelele music. So piss off, eh!

Eddie apparently pronounces the first syllable of 'ukelele' [u], as if it were spelled ookelele. I've always said [yu], like yukelele. If you pronounce it the way he does, then everything I've written will be (even more) annoying to you because I've written "a ukelele" and you would want it to be "an ukelele". Sorry.

I wanted to write a review of this a long time ago, but I never did because I'm a lazy fuck. Also because I was busy.

In conclusion (I hope), it was a really great experience seeing Eddie Vedder, as well as the other bands, but especially him, since he's the only one I'd heard of, in such a small venue.
