A boring day
Saturday, November 24, 2001 - 16:40

The weather here is so weird. It was hot and dry yesterday, then it was raining like a bastard all morning, and then all of a sudden an hour or so ago it cleared up and the sun came out. It rained so much that the streets were flooded and in our parking lot in some places the water went almost up to the doors of some cars. It's nice, because the wetlands that our apartment complex was built on are wet again. The rain woke me up this morning at the ungodly time of quarter to 8. And I actually *got up* then.

We were in a pet store buying Miss Kitty's special expensive cat food this morning when it thundered. People in the store actually screamed. "It never thunders in California!" they said.

I've been frantically downloading mp3s of older Pearl Jam stuff, like a concert from 1994 and one from 1998 and the supposed rough mixes from Ten. The only real difference between the album version of Ten and these rough mixes is the drums on Oceans and Jeremy, and maybe the backup vocals on some of the songs. And there's also Brother, Alone, Wash, and I've Got a Feeling, which weren't on the album.

I did the laundry and the vacuuming and some grocery shopping today. I've even been doing some work for my presentation on Monday. It's been a boring day. Productive, perhaps, but boring.
