- Brought fingernail clippers but not toenail clippers. You can always tell when a trip is coming to a close. Weird to see on Facebook a post from the ski resort in my hometown about getting ready to open. What? It’s summer! Also weird to see Christmas stuff here. They were gung-ho about Christmas even before Thanksgiving! Gauche! (That’s funny because they don’t have Thanksgiving here. But they do have Black Friday.) Last night was my only chance to see the stars - other nights it’s been clouded over or we’ve been in a city or whatever. But the sunset in this town isn’t until almost 10. At 11 there was still light in the sky. Also streetlights. But I did see Orion and he was upside-down. And saw Vela. Only have dumb shirts to wear now, others are all dirty. Yes, you can tell when a trip is ending.
