The asshole next door - had been doing much better since her family had a baby and since the puppy moved here last fall but moved away with her family a couple months ago - is back visiting for a couple days. She hasn't been doing well. She bit a kid, started snapping at people and growling at other dogs, and nearly bit her family's baby. She was super happy to see me, and super happy to see the puppy's roommate, but not all that happy to see the puppy. He tried to play with her like they used to but she wasn't into it and went back to his roommate for pets.

It looks like they're going to put her down. It's sad - she had a shitty life before they got her and didn't trust anyone, and she seemed to be getting better, but she's scary when she turns on you and they can't have her biting their baby. She charged me a couple times and it was really scary. She can be a really scary dog. But it's sad because when she's not feeling whatever - defensive, scared, angry - she's a really sweet dog.

The puppy hasn't been told about this.

That poor asshole.

I was up and about until 1:30 last night and I'm not going to make it to 10:30 tonight so goodnight.
