Last week Rob Brezsny said this:

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): "Don't eat any food that's incapable of rotting," says Michael Pollan in his book *In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto.* In other words, highly processed foods with a long shelf life don't contribute to your optimum vitality. I'd like to expand this rule to make it an all-purpose guideline for life. Try out this hypothesis: If you're involved with any person or situation that never decays, or if there is some part of you that never decays, that's highly suspicious and may be a problem. Like growth, rot is a natural phenomenon. Indeed, every advancement requires or brings the disintegration of whatever it replaces. You can't grow if you don't rot! The "perfection" of stasis can be hazardous to your health! So let me ask you, Pisces: What's due to rot in your world?

Rob Brezsny, this is great, finally something I can understand and relate to, and I will continue to resist the nearly overwhelming urge to buy Twinkies every time I go to the grocery store. (Twinkies!) But what about honey, Rob Brezsny? Huh? Regarding your question, I don't know what's due to rot in my world. But I am a big fan of belatedly recognizing homeostasis, agonizing over it, and then finally getting rid of it (which is usually accomplished by leaving, a.k.a. running away) - so, given patterns demonstrated by me over the past decade or more of my life, you can expect me to identify and get rid of the current rot in my life (in other words, to leave everything I know and start all over) in about one to three years. That will probably not be terribly conducive to my overall emotional maturity and psychic health so unless you want that to happen you and your pals the Fates better start giving me something more to go on. DO YOU HEAR ME, FATES?!?

This week, Rob Brezsny said I will have a tremendous capacity to convert my old wounds, as well as the old wounds of others, into brilliant opportunities. Brilliant opportunities! I can't wait. Hopefully the brilliant opportunities involve food and sunshine. Also, money.
