There's only so much to think about after you've been raking dirt for eight hours We were raking a guy's lawn today and he came out and offered us Cokes. HOW AMERICAN IS THAT? I don't know if it's American at all, but that's what I thought to myself at the time. Geez, how American is that. That's American friendliness for you, offering Cokes to the hired help. We said no thanks, but what if he bought them for us? He knew that some yard people were coming out to rake out his dirt and he thought that it would be nice if he had some Coke to offer us. And then we were all ingracious and refused. That's what I thought to myself after the American thought. He didn't seem too terribly disappointed, but when he left he left door to his garage unlocked and said we could use his bathroom and get some Coke from his refridgerator. So maybe he really did want us to drink his Coke.
