1. It wasn't all that long ago that I was saying I didn't have the patience for quiet music. I think that phase lasted for years, although I'm not sure - I don't keep track of my music tastes. But years, years, I didn't have the patience for quiet music and then - when was it? (I know this, it was around the time the thing with the brown-eyed baker got bad.) Suddenly I didn't have the ears or the guts for loud music, and all I was listening to was quiet music. But during my show last week I played Thee Oh Sees and... when it came time to pick out music for my drive home, I picked Thee Oh Sees and Thee Emergency.

2. I went home for the weekend, took today off, and I could have used another day. For one thing, I was exhausted, all weekend. So tired. Today, this morning, packing up - I didn't want to leave.

3. Friday, packing, getting ready to leave for the weekend, I looked at my laptop and realized all I'd do with it would be get on facebook. I left it.
