Eucalyptus trees smell like Ivory soap, but pine trees...
Tuesday, August 13, 2002 - 14:08

There's a spot on campus where there are three Ponderosa pine trees growing. They're fairly uncommon around here, since most of the trees are palm trees or eucalyptus trees. I like to walk by the pine trees when it's sunny, because they smell nice. I used to go camping a lot in the summer, and that's what the smell of hot pine trees reminds me of.

If you stick your nose up to the bark of a Ponderosa, it smells like vanilla.
