Recently, during one of my many time-wasting perusals of the internet, I found an article that really pissed me off. It is a story about how Idaho is not going to change any of its place names that have 'squaw' in them.

The article starts out saying, "Idaho lawmakers gave minorities another reason to question how welcome they are in the state today by rejecting elimination of the derogatory term 'squaw' from all Idaho place names."

Fuck you, AP. Aren't you supposed to be reporting the news, not editorializing? Does the fuckhead who wrote this even know what he's writing about? If Mr. Fuckhead had done any research at all, he would have realized that 'squaw' does not mean 'cunt', and that deciding not to change place names is not giving "minorities another reason to question how welcome they are in the state."

This whole 'squaw' thing started on the Oprah Winfrey show. Oprah Winfrey. Is she a fucking linguist?

The word doesn't mean cunt. It may have been used slanderously by certain assholes, but labeling the word an obscenity won't stop racism. It's the racism that is offensive, not the word.
